For a successful B.B.Q., cook on white coals only turning often. We prefer to keep the grill covered until the sausages are completely cooked. For large quantities, pre-bake sausage halfway in your oven at 350’, then finish on the B.B.Q. grill. All New York Style sausages are great B.B.Q.’d.
We recommend adding a little cooking oil when you start to avoid sticking and burning. Always cook sausage on a low fire, turning frequently to cook evenly. When sausage begins to sizzle, cover with a lid. Check sausage often and turn. When sausage is cooked half way, remove lid and finish frying slowly. Frying time is approximately 20 minutes.
Always start your meat sauce with New York Style sausage. Heat olive oil in sauce pot and saute your sausage (when using link sausage remove and set aside and add back 1 hour before your sauce is done). Saute garlic and onions in sausage drippings until translucent, add your tomato products and spices. Bring to a boil and lower to simmer (approx. 1 hour). New York Style sausage always adds a great flavor to your meatballs, beef; Braciole or chicken.
Set the air fryer to 400°F and then cook the sausages until they’re well-browned on the outside and cooked through in the middle if you cut into them. It takes about 8-12 minutes (flipped halfway through), depending on the thickness of the sausages and how many you have in the basket.
